Morton's Neroma - growth on nerve ends in feet

This is painful in lesser and greater degrees, depending on the individual and how big the growths are. Sometimes they go on their own, but in some cases (like mine) the were around for 5 years and decided to have them removed... pretty painful right now and have to wait 6 weeks for the all clear and sure miss not running around, but know it will soon be over and I can walk around painfree once again

still have to wait for bandages and stitches to come out in another week.

my feet look like they have been mummified!!! :-)

toes turning black from bruising from operation

Week Two: Not a pretty sight as stitches now taken out
Week Three: What a difference a week makes.
Still walking slow and very limited .

Week Four: internal scar tissue needs addressing
 with much massaging.
Walking more now.
Week Five: the hard work on massaging is paying off
and manged my first fairly brisk walk

Bayswater Mulberry Handbag - Cake & Kurt Geiger shoes

what woman doesn't love designer handbags and shoes and my dear friend Fiona loves Mulberry handbags and Kurt Geiger shoes.. so here it has been transposed into a cake... many challenges creating this from sugar and lemon Madeira cake, but was much loved by the recipient and all the staff at La Manoir, Raymond Blanc's Restaurant in Oxford, UK.  go see this  fabulous place www.manoir.com for sheer indulgence and style.

Mulberry Handbag Cake

KG by Kurt Geiger Shoes

Well,  making the shoes presented a big challenge and found myself wondering how I could become a shoe designer in sugar paste overnight!!! the heel on one of the shoes I landed up doing three times... I got there in the end by designing my own templates.

Coco Chanel Handbag - Cake

Melanie has always wanted a Chanel 2.55 handbag. It's classy and chic and oh soooo expensive, like in the region of £1,400.00!!! So, in the meantime, she had to settle for this version instead... a lemon Madeira cake designed into a handbag....

I then added Chanel Lip gloss and for fun "spilt" the Chanel nail polish... all made from sugar paste

to finish it off, I made a posy of frangipani flowers from sugar paste...

Mummy's Anniversary

My mother died 10 years ago today, she would have been 91. I miss her and still talk to her as she was always my advisor and an example in strength and goodness and self-sacrifice. So beautiful and highly intelligent. We were so lucky to have her as our mother.
She sadly died of a thrombosis after years of living with Colonic Cancer, a heart condition, curvature of the spine, Hiatus Hernia  and Macular degeneration...
love you mummy and hope you are enjoying your well deserved eternal peace.

White Chocolate Rocky Road

Martin loves white chocolate and sometimes misses out when most prefer dark or milk chocolate... so these were done especially for him.
 to start:
 melt 200g white chocolate

then chop up200 g  marshmallows, 200 g Turkish delight and 200 macadamia nuts

quickly pour the melted chocolate over the marshmallows, nuts and Turkish delights. Pour into cling-film-lined  8" square tin and press down well with another layer of cling film. Place in fridge for about three hours
take out, lift out onto a board, carefully remove the cling film from both sides and cut into cubes

mmm great flavour combo and oh so milky and smooth. Martin really enjoyed them too.
